Arrival:
- Exterior check of grounds, landscape, pests, lawn and sprinklers.
- Visual check of outdoor light fixtures.
- Visual exterior check including roof, A/C units, fence, mailbox.
- Turn on water.
- Enter home, check security system.
Interior:
- Check all windows and doors- locked and watertight.
- Visual check- signs of water damage, mold/mildew of baseboards, ceilings, walls, floors.
- Cycle water- flush toilets, run water in sinks, tubs and showers.
- Run garbage disposal.
- Check water heater – must be turned off at circuit breaker when water main is off.
- Check for insects, pests and rodents.
- Check closets and storage cabinets.
- Verify A/C and de-humidistat settings; adjust if needed.
- Check refrigerator, freezers, wine cooler for proper temp and operation.
- Make sure ice maker is in “off” position.
- Reset clocks after power outage.
- Check circuit breaker panels.
- Check garage and make sure door to garage is locked.
- Put out/take in trash as needed.
Lanai/Pool Area:
- Check Pool equipment, water level and condition of water.
- Check screen door, screening and cage structure.
- Departure: Final departure “Look. Listen. Lock.”
- Enable security system, lock doors.
- Turn off hot water heater breaker.
- Turn off water supply
Departure:
- Enable security system
- Make sure doors are all locked.
- Turn off water heater breaker.
- Turn off water supply.
- Forward mail if requested.
